Since its foundation in 2004, Cia. Maduixa has created artistic works for both indoor venues and outdoor spaces for audiences of all ages. Research and the combination of different disciplines are the company’s main creative driving force in every production, with the aim of exploring new stage languages and continually taking risks to create its own stories.

The company has developed a distinctive artistic style across its more than twelve productions, resulting from the fusion of dance, visual arts and new technologies, which are combined with the performers’ bodies to create images of great visual poetry.

Over the years, its productions have received more than twenty awards, including three MAX Awards —the highest recognition in the performing arts in Spain— and four FETEN Awards (European Performing Arts Fair for Children and Young People). The company’s international reach has taken its productions to more than 25 countries around the world, performing in a wide range of theatres and festivals.
