TAIAT DANSA
@taiatdansa

Taiat Dansa was founded in 2003 by Meritxell Barberá and Inma García.
Since then, the company has presented its work at leading theatres, venues and festivals across Spain, while also developing an extensive international presence. Today, Taiat Dansa tours and collaborates regularly in countries including France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Hungary, the Netherlands and the United States.
From the very beginning of their artistic journey, Barberá and García have remained deeply engaged with the social, cultural and ideological questions shaping contemporary art. This ongoing dialogue with the world around them informs their choreographic practice and has led them to develop a significant body of work within museums and exhibition spaces, where they continue to explore the relationship between dance, visual art and critical thought.
Since 2009, they have also worked as choreographers for internationally renowned companies including Ballet Hispánico (New York), DanceWorks Chicago, Ballet de la Generalitat Valenciana, DAF Roma and Introdans Arnhem. For these companies, they create works in which Taiat Dansa's distinctive choreographic language is closely intertwined with a strong dramaturgical approach, drawing inspiration from cinema, literature and the visual arts.
