MARROCH is a contemporary dance company founded in 2020 by Salvador Rocher, María Palazón, and Melodía García. These three dancers aim to showcase the fusion of different movement languages to reach all types of audiences. Marroch is a young, fresh, dynamic, and consistent company with many aspirations and aspirations, striving to generate emotions and transport the viewer to another place—the source of inspiration for their performances.
Since its inception, the company has produced five dance performances, including “Entre Nosotros,” selected for Danza Escena 2022 and recommended by the Basque Network Sarea. This piece has been performed nationally in various autonomous communities and in European cities such as Giessen (Germany) and Budapest (Szget Festival). On the other hand, “Escanner” (awarded best show during the pandemic) is a stage show that aims to encourage reflection in the audience on the resilience and resilience of human beings as individuals. “Perseverance” is a show for family audiences, created for both street and stage performances, in which we seek to raise awareness among both children and adults about the importance of caring for the planet, using a perspective different from the conventional one. “Trópico,” a piece that premiered in January 2023, was awarded best street performance by the Valencian Community Performing Arts Awards. And finally, “Ta-k-Ta” is a piece that addresses the vulnerability of our elderly population.
In all our shows, the company aims to convey to the audience, or generate reflection on, human behavior and its psychological tools.
