CÍA KIKO LÓPEZ

The Kiko López Company was founded in 2022 after more than nine years of experience, establishing a unique and recognizable artistic identity on the contemporary scene.

Directed by Valencian choreographer and dancer Kiko López, the company develops its own stage language that integrates urban dance, contemporary dance, folklore, and mask theater, creating universes where the physical and theatrical intertwine with a strong symbolic charge.

Among its creations are HONEST, WIWBAK (When I Will Be A Kid), SR. W (Doble U), WE, and Lo que los árboles no cuentan (created with Héctor Plaza), pieces that have toured national and international festivals and circuits.

The company has received awards and recognition in various professional contexts, including the SOLODOS Spain/Costa Rica Award, accolades at festivals such as Burgos–New York and CORTOINDANZA (Italy), as well as recent recognition for the work HONEST (2024). She has also been selected for programs such as Red Escena 2025 and Acielo Abierto, and has received nominations for the IVC Valencian Performing Arts Awards, the 2023 Max Awards, and the Catalan Critics' Awards.

Her works have been presented at festivals such as Dansa València, La Mercè, Sismògraf, Danza Metropolitana, and Hop Festival, as well as on international circuits in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Argentina, and El Salvador, establishing an active presence in Europe and Latin America.

She is currently developing PANT’S OFF, her new stage work that delves deeper into her research on body, identity, and theatricality.
