EXTREMUS DANZA
@extremusdansa

Extremus Danza is a contemporary Flamenco and Spanish dance company directed by Eva Moreno. Through an innovative choreographic language, the company uses Flamenco as a vehicle for reflecting on contemporary social issues, challenging injustice and confronting social taboos.
Its first production, Pared con Pared, addressed the issue of gender-based violence and was awarded First Prize at the Certamen Nacional de Directoras de Escena Ciudad de Torrejón, as well as Second Prize for Choreography at the Madrid Spanish Dance and Flamenco Choreography Competition.
Since then, the company has combined its creative work with educational initiatives while developing new productions, including Princesas o Comerse la Vida, which explores eating disorders; Lakata, una experiencia sensorial, an immersive performance unfolding during a wine tasting that explores new ways of engaging with audiences; and Som Cabanyal, the outcome of the social project ¡A QUELAR!, an artistic training programme in Flamenco dance and music for young people at risk of social exclusion.
