MAREA DANZA

Marea Danza is a Valencian company founded in 2014 that aims to bring Flamenco and Spanish Dance closer to contemporary creation, thereby reaching a diverse audience. Their shows stem from a desire to reflect aspects of the socio-cultural context and explore different art forms, such as film, literature, and current artistic trends. The company values the uniqueness of each dancer and seeks a connection that translates onto the stage into a shared energy.

Following these principles, they have created ANUDAR (2025), ¿Dónde está Alicia? (2024), winner of the FETEN Award for Best Ensemble in 2026, Rebelión (2021), a Teatre Escalante production, winner of the IVC Performing Arts Awards for Best Children's Show in 2021, Roda (2020), winner of the IVC Performing Arts Awards for Best Street Performance in 2021, Amelia (2017), winner of the FETEN Award for Best Dance Performance in 2018, and Relieves (2015).

Many of these programs focus on family audiences, reinterpreting flamenco for children. They also conduct educational activities to cultivate new audiences and highlight the social benefits of the performing arts.
